Victoria Brittain, a former associate foreign editor of the
Guardian, is a journalist and a research associate at the London School of Economics. She is co-author with Moazzam Begg of his book
Enemy Combatant: A British Muslim’s Journey to Guantanamo and Back (2006), and with Gillian Slovo, compiled the play Guantánamo. Her previous books include
Hidden Lives, Hidden Deaths: South Africa’s Crippling of a Continent (1988) and
Death of Dignity: Angola’s Civil War (1997).
