Holiday
gifts, holiday lifts. Personally, I think you couldn’t do better than
to package my last few articles together, and roast some chestnuts with
them. Short of that, I certainly hope that you’ll have the whole family
take a break from opening presents a few days from now, and at least
pour (eggnog nodding) over the last few photos Scott’s found time to
post with my recent pieces.
Countess Condi cutting a rug with the Sundance Kid! D.H. Lawrence in
a writing fit wit a fattened-up Frieda! Whadda home of a range. Live
dangerously with my Tookie take (12/14). But if you must have cake and
give gifts, perhaps you’ll want to consider what’s directly below.

is the Google thang
for links up the kazoo respecting 3 Non-Blondes. If motivated, you’ll
find a way to secure a DVD for an out-there loved one with it. And…if
you are from the Mitch Hedberg (comic) side of the tracks you will
be motivated. Though those you know loving comedy might very well
expect another Larry David trip or Richard Pryor retrospective this
time around, if you contact me ASAP I’ll recommend this or that in
plenty of time for you to score a perfect tripped-out hit.
Mitch once said: “If you had a friend who was a tightrope walker,
and you were walking down a sidewalk, and he fell, that would be
completely unacceptable….” I feel the same way about activists tripping
over their talk.
If all my outraged compatriots are going to do is march in circles
with corny signs, get unhorny
at their activist social gatherings, put notches in their politically
correct guns, do what’s been done (to death), martyr themselves, and
complain without risk, they might as well get the discs I’m
recommending and die laughing.
Richard Oxman, rmoxman@yahoo.com, trusts that readers will treat
lovers of Jon Stewart pretty much the way in which they relate to Bush
supporters. Truly, he’d be honored to recommend a Hedberg or 3
Non-Blondes comedy coup. Recent Oxwriting, incuding his "Tookie Take,"
is at www.oxtogrind.org.
